Spring hoop wreath tutorial
Updated: Mar 16, 2020
It won't come as a surprise to many of you, but I love making wreaths! I wanted to make a spring wreath large enough for our mantle, so I was quite happy to stumble upon the idea of using a hoola hoop! Here is what I did:

Supplies:
Hoola hoop ( sizes vary, I went with the largest I could find at the dollar store)
Spray paint. Originally I thought I would spray paint it gold, but at the store I saw copper rose, and changed my mind.
Flowers or greenery of choice
Foral tape
Floral wire
Wire cutters
I spray painted the hoop, and let it dry two days, just to make sure the paint wouldn't peel away as I started to assemble the wreath. I layed out the pieces of greenery around the wreath and played wtih it before attaching it. I also found it easier to group a few pieces of greenery together with the floral tape to give it a fuller look. Once I was happy with the overall look, I started attaching the greenery to the hoop with the wire. I played around with it many, many times, so there is no wrong way to do this, just your preferred way! Once I put it on my mantle, I even ended up rotating the hoop until I was happy with the look.
This was easy, cheap and fun! Let me know if you try it.
